Monday Nights 4:00-5:30 at Freedom Kitchen
Each Monday, Freedom Kitchen volunteers prepare and serve a free, hot, nutritious meal for our community. Everyone is welcome to pick up a takeaway meal for themselves and their family between 4:00 and 5:30 pm. Any cancellations due to weather or holidays will be announced on our Facebook Page.
Monday Afternoon 2:30-4:00
Meal delivery is available for individuals in the Sackville and Beaverbank area who are unable to attend in person due to mobility, transportation, or medical challenges. To register, please complete the online form or call Knox United Church at 902-865-9216. Additional details will be provided during a follow-up phone call.
Monday, Thursday, and Saturday Mornings
Our outdoor pantry is stocked with bread and grocery items on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings for anyone in need. The pantry opens by 11:00 am and remains open until supplies are gone. We ask that visitors take only what they need, so that others in our community may also benefit.
By Appointment
Freedom Kitchen & Closet provides winter clothing for individuals in need. Appointments are available to ensure privacy and allow time to find the right items. Appointments can be requested through our online form or by calling 902-865-9216. Clothing may also be made available on outdoor racks at various times.
Volunteers are the heart of Freedom Kitchen. By giving your time, you help prepare and serve meals, welcome guests, and build meaningful connections in our community. Whether you can help regularly or just once in a while, your presence makes a difference.
